The EMT / Firefighter is responsible for providing pre-hospital emergency medical care and fire suppression services to protect life, property, and the environment. This role operates primarily in out-of-hospital settings and requires collaboration with medical direction, other provider agencies, and state EMS systems. EMT / Firefighters are accountable to medical direction, their peers, and the public. Position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities : Perform pre-hospital emergency medical duties in compliance with state EMS regulations. Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care under medical direction. Conduct daily inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of emergency vehicles. Perform supply inventory and equipment checks in coordination with Paramedics. Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls. Operate emergency vehicles and communication equipment safely and professionally. Perform vehicle extrication and other rescue operations. Conduct fire prevention and suppression activities. Protect life and property during emergency incidents. Survey assigned areas and provide detailed activity reports. Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and safety standards. Maintain a safe environment for patients, co-workers, and the public. Participate in other duties as assigned.
