Under minimal supervision, the RN Pre-op / PACU Lead provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of the hospital. In collaboration with the patient, the patient's family and other members of the health care team, the RN Preop / PACU Lead assumes responsibility for the management of the delivery of patient care including, but not limited to, assessment / re-assessment, development of the plan of care, implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions utilizing the nurse process. The RN Pre-op / PACU Lead also assists the anesthesiologist and surgeon with patient-related care activities. Supervises Pre-op and PACU staff, assisting with staff scheduling and performance reviews. Always works as a team member within the entire facility. Performs other duties as assigned.
