Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver). A third facility in Longmont, CO (a suburb of Denver) provides in-house repair and fabrication of tools & dies.

Role Description :
The Payroll & HR Manager at Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) is responsible for managing payroll operations across all PMT sites and providing direct support to Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing through ADP, maintains compliance with multi-state regulations, and supports HR initiatives, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting employees and operations across PMT’s 24-hour manufacturing environment in both Colorado and Texas.
What you’ll do :
Manage and process bi-weekly payroll for all PMT employees (FTEs and temporary staff) across multi-state, 24-hour operationsOversee payroll through ADP, including deductions, garnishments, benefits contributions, and tax filingsEnsure payroll compliance with federal, state (CO & TX), and local wage and hour lawsReconcile payroll with general ledger accounts and prepare payroll-related reports for FinanceManage quarterly and annual payroll functions including W-2s, 941 filings, and audit preparationSupport annual 401(k), Workers’ Compensation, and tax auditsPartner with the Senior HR Manager to administer employee onboarding, offboarding, and records managementMaintain accuracy of employee data in ADP and HRIS systemsAssist with benefits administration, leave tracking (FMLA, STD, LTD, FAMLI), and compliance reportingGenerate HR and payroll metrics to support workforce planning and compliance requirementsServe as an HR resource to employees for payroll, benefits, and policy-related questionsPartner with the HR Business Partners to coordinate high-volume recruiting efforts, particularly for manufacturing rolesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred5+ years of progressive payroll experience (multi-state required), with exposure to HR generalist or recruiting responsibilitiesStrong proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Excel reportingKnowledge of payroll compliance, HR policies, and employment law (CO & TX required)Experience in a manufacturing or 24 / 7 operational environment strongly preferredExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsCertifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or SHRM-CP / PHR preferredCritical skills :
