Massage Therapist - PRN

We are seeking a dedicated Massage Therapist with the highest standards of excellence, who seeks the opportunity to work for an employer that's the leader in patient-focused, team-based hospice care and committed to creating a culture of excellence. This position is located in the DeKalb County area and is on a prn basis.

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing massage therapy to patients to relieve discomfort and to ease muscle tension. Promotes professional integrity, teamwork and participates in the interdisciplinary care team functions.

Primary duties include :

• Assess the patients' medical history to determine what type of massage would be the most beneficial.
• Maintains an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the local, state, and federal laws impacting upon the practice of massage therapy.
• Maintains current knowledge of Medicare / Medicaid benefits, private insurance, supportive care, continuous care and in-patient requirements.
• Participates in Quality Improvement activities to ensure highest levels of service.
• Reports to work and required meetings on time and on a consistent, regular and reliable basis.

Expected Hours of Work : PRN, as needed basis

Northern Illinois Hospice supports our employees' wellbeing and regularly benchmarks with other companies in our industry to offer an extensive Total Reward package for this position. The expected wage range for this role is $25.00 - $32.00 per hour . However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits.
