Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Construction Estimator to join our team. This position will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals by analyzing project plans, specifications, and key metrics. This role is essential to supporting profitable business decisions and ensuring a seamless transition from estimation to field operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Estimate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analyze plans, create electronic take-offs, and evaluate costs, resources, labor, production, and equipment needs.
- Perform research on project location, schedule, risks, and framework.
- Help determine which projects are the best fit for the company.
- Solicit, select, and evaluate quotes from materials suppliers and subcontractors.
- Manage deadlines and organization of project procurement.
- Attend pre-bid meetings or conduct site visits as necessary.
- Facilitate a smooth handoff from estimating to project management, including participation in project kick-off meetings.
- Schedule and coordinate project milestones with the team to ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare and submit complete bid proposals based on RFP requirements.
- Provide guidance on procurement processes, estimating methods, and transition to project management.
- Ensure safety standards and guidelines are considered in all estimates.
- Coordinate contract pricing, revisions, and additions, ensuring compliance by all parties.
- Collaborate with clients, supervisory staff, subcontractors, and engineers to resolve issues during the estimating process.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members.
Required Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong understanding of the RFP and bidding process.Proficient in Microsoft Office products; experience with Insite Siteworks or similar takeoff software .Ability to multitask and remain efficient in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.Thorough understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and estimating principles.Reliable time management, punctuality, and organizational skills.Desired Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction industry.Familiarity with the RFP and bidding process.Experience in Microsoft Excel.Benefits
