Workers' Compensation Attorney

Workers' Compensation Attorney - Cleveland, OH

A well-established Cleveland law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its growing practice. The ideal candidate will have experience representing employers, insurers, or self-insured entities in workers' compensation matters before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and in related litigation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and professional environment with a firm known for its strong client relationships and litigation experience.

Competitive base salary range of $110,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Admission to the Ohio Bar in good standing

3+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense or related litigation

Strong understanding of Ohio workers' compensation laws and procedures

Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

Ability to manage multiple cases with attention to deadlines and detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach

Responsibilities

Represent employers and insurers in workers' compensation claims and hearings before the Industrial Commission of Ohio

Handle all aspects of case management, including investigation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and hearings

Draft pleadings, position statements, motions, and other legal documents

Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies tailored to each case

Advise clients on workers' compensation exposure, risk management, and compliance

Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and medical professionals

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective case handling
