QA Engineer (Contractor)

Role : QA Engineer (Contractor) Duration : 3 months Scope : Will work on one project

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analyze and understand current UFT test automation scripts.
  • Design and implement equivalent automated scripts in Playwright.
  • Utilize AI tools (Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot) to assist in code generation, migration, and optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with QA, development, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth migration.
  • Maintain and update documentation throughout the migration process.
  • Ensure migrated scripts meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Provide regular progress updates and highlight blockers or dependencies.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Proven experience in test automation, specifically with UFT and Playwright.
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript / TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools (Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, or similar).
  • Experience migrating legacy automation frameworks to modern solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and rapid development cycles.
  • Proficient with Git / GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; skilled in documenting processes and results.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior experience in short-term, high-impact QA migration projects.
  • Experience in cloud-based QA environments.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and test automation integration.
