POSITION SUMMARY

The East Alabama Medical Center Interpreter will facilitate communication for limited English proficient (LEP) patients, and family members that serve them in a variety of settings to include medical, educational, financial, insurance, etc. This is an on-call Position, flexibility is required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Successful completion of conversation / translation competency testing in secondary language

Minimum Experience

fluency in relevant language

Required Registration / License / Certification

Score High Intermediate on Language Proficiency test prior to interpreting
