About us

Client is a small business in Fort Lauderdale, FL. We are professional, agile and the client is full-service Intellectual Property law firm. We work with inventors and business owners to protect their ideas, names, logos, creations, etc. We handle a very active litigation and prosecution docket dealing with highly complex IP issues, such as patent and trademark infringement, theft of trade secrets, and attorney malpractice cases, just to name a few. No case here is the same as the last.

We are seeking a bright, energetic, fast-thinking Paralegal to become a part of our team. This position is in the field of intellectual property law. You will assist our attorneys with engaging new clients, drafting and filing patent, trademark , and copyright applications and working with our clients to obtain the necessary information to file and maintain the applications and / or patent / trademark / copyright registrations . We need someone that we can trust to stay on task and not let matters slip through the cracks. If this is you, we can't wait to meet you.

Responsibilities :

Review the accuracy of legal documents

Attend to the electronic filing of legal documents

Keep clients up to date on legal matters

Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Record and store client information in an electronic docketing system

Qualifications :

Ability to prioritize and multitask

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Deadline and detail-oriented

The ideal candidate will have experience and / or a formal education in paralegal studies. However, if you do not have IP law experience, but have the right mindset, that is okay; we can train you.
