Turret Truck Operator

PeopleShare has an opening for a Turret Truck Operator in Burlington, NJ. Candidates must have 1 year of recent experience operating a Turret Truck within a warehouse environment.

Title : Turret Truck Operator

Location : Burlington, NJ 08016

Duration : 4 month contract-to-hire

Pay Rate : $20.50 / hr Shift : 3rd shift : Monday-Friday, 10 : 30 PM - 7 : 00 AM

A Machine Operator IV will be responsible for the movement and storage of material within the distribution center utilizing a Turret Truck (TSP).

Responsibilities :

  • Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, or storage racks using the forklift.
  • Safely transporting materials within the warehouse or distribution center.
  • Must adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Notifying management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures in the distribution center.
  • Collaborating with management and other members of the warehouse team to ensure that inventory levels are maintained and that orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Occasionally assisting with other warehouse tasks.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 1 year of PIT experience operating a Turret Truck within a warehouse environment.
  • Previous experience utilizing a warehouse scan gun.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in reading orders and accurate documentation.
  • Adhering to all safety requirements; utilizing a safety-first mindset.
  • WMS experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Warehouse organization procedures.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
  • Able to lift and move heavy merchandise items.
  • Flexible schedule, including the ability to work on weekends, as needed.

    • Physical Requirement :

  • Standing, walking, bending, and squatting most of the time.
  • Repetitive motions including pushing & pulling with hands most of the time.
  • Frequently carrying up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift-up to 70 lbs.
  • Seldom sitting or crawling.
