Salary Scale : $17.00-$22.59

Position Summary : Assist with care of patients of all ages in the emergency department in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Under close supervision, provides technical support for physicians and nurses in the Emergency Department.

Education : High School diploma or equivalent. Active CNA license, Active EMT certification, or currently enrolled in a nursing program. Maintain current Health Care Provider Level BCLS.

Experience : One year of experience as CNA, EMT, Nursing Student or equivalent health care experience preferred, but not required.

Essential Functions :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and sit. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move more than 100 pounds. Vision must be correctable to view computer screens and read printed information. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts and other conversations.
