This job posting is for a Court Interpreter position with the Superior Court, County of Santa Clara, located in Santa Clara, CA. The role involves interpreting between languages in court proceedings, ensuring effective communication among attorneys, court staff, and other departments under the court's direction.

Responsibilities include :

  • Interpreting during court proceedings.
  • Bringing any issues that may impede interpretation performance to the court's attention.
  • Researching and understanding legal terminology and court functions.
  • Receiving daily calendar assignments and accurately completing activity logs or other documentation.

Knowledge requirements :

  • Interpreter ethics and standards as per California Rules of Court, Rule 984.4.
  • Proper grammar usage.

    • Minimum qualifications :

  • Possession of a valid certificate as a Certified Court Interpreter or registration as a Court Interpreter by the Judicial Council of California.
  • A valid California Class C driver's license.

    • This is a permanent, full-time position.
