Title : Project Manager

Location : IL, IN, WI, LA (Reports to Willowbrook, IL)

Hire Type : Direct Hire (3 openings)

Salary : $125K–$200K / YR

Sterling Engineering is looking for experienced Project Managers to join a well-established construction organization specializing in commercial, industrial, and data center projects. This is a high-impact role with ownership over project performance from start to finish.

Job Duties :

Manage all phases of commercial / industrial and data center projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Create detailed work plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones.

Lead project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to maintain safety, quality, and performance goals.

Serve as primary client liaison, facilitating communication and resolving issues.

Oversee contracts, change orders, and procurement processes.

Manage financial performance, including invoicing, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.

Review construction drawings, identify risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications :

BS in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience in project management for construction (mission-critical projects a plus).

Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Primavera, Accubid, and Bluebeam.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Knowledge of construction means / methods, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
