Responsibilities
- Operates Radiographic equipment to produce radiographs (XRays) under the general direction of the Supervisor / Imaging Director.
- Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision and with independent judgement and initiative.
- Ensures safe operation and care of Radiology equipment and exposure of patients to radiation for diagnostic information.
- Provides professional and quality care while following hospital policies, procedures and standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements : Must have a minimum of three years (3) experience as a staff technologist with at least one (1) year experience in one specialty field. Will actively work in both Radiology and second specialty. Must spend at least 25% of clinical time working in the specialties.CRT & Fluoroscopy Permit certification required. BLS certification required. ARRT certification in Mammography, Computed Tomography, or MRI required for second modality.Demonstrates extensive knowledge of principles, protocols, techniques and procedures of Diagnostic Radiography and specialty.Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members, physicians, and the general patient population. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment. Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.Please note : This location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.
Pay Range
$46.48 - $54.84 / hour
