Intelligence Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Systems Engineer – NGC Support
About the Role
CyOne is seeking experienced Intelligence Subject Matter Experts (SME) / Systems Engineers to support a long-term effort under one of our prime partners. The selected candidates will leverage their expertise in intelligence operations and systems engineering to help design, develop, integrate, and sustain advanced intelligence systems. This position blends deep operational understanding of intelligence processes with strong technical engineering acumen to deliver mission-driven solutions that enhance situational awareness and decision advantage.

Key Responsibilities :
- Provide subject matter expertise in intelligence operations, processes, and methodologies.
- Support the design, development, integration, and testing of intelligence systems and solutions.
- Conduct requirements analysis, system design, and architecture development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and ensure alignment with operational needs.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including requirements specifications, design documents, and test plans.
- Perform systems engineering tasks, including system integration, verification, and validation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to intelligence systems.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in intelligence and systems engineering.
Requirements :
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.5+ years of experience in intelligence operations and systems engineering. Would Consider GEOINT, HUMINT, CI or other Intelligence disciplinesStrong understanding of intelligence processes, tools, and technologies.Proficiency in systems engineering principles and practices.Experience with requirements analysis, system design, and architecture development.Knowledge of system integration, verification, and validation processes.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Preferred Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.Familiarity with intelligence community standards and practices.DevSecOps experienceCloud (AWS, Azure) experience and / or certificationsKnowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.Cybersecurity (Sec+, etc.) certificationsAbout CyOne, Inc.
