Essential Functions / Responsibilities :
Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service through quality improvement audits and activities.
Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents, infections, and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
Maintains necessary departmental files, reports, and records of diagnostic examinations performed, according to hospital policies.
Develops a proactive mind-set towards the job. Observes opportunities for improvement, formulates ideas, and communicates those ideas with their supervisor and / or other staff. Implements work habits that lead to continuous quality improvement.
Displays a high level of initiative, works with minimal supervision, demonstrates responsible behavior, and has excellent attention to detail.
Assists with production and distribution of informational materials concerning cardiovascular programs and services to surrounding communities and clinical care providers.
Demonstrates self-development by keeping abreast of current cardiovascular trends and willing to obtain additional training.
Assists with updates to policies and procedures for cardiovascular diagnostic exams.
Participates in the evaluation, selection, and integration of changing health care technology and information systems that support patient care needs and the efficient utilization of human resources.
Provides in-service education on ultrasound procedures as requested by other members of the health care team.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
Maintain proficiency in department PACS, RIS, and EMR.
