Shift : 6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM

Experience :

• 18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Previous Employment Requirements : Any PERM or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler

Required Cardiovascular Case Skills / Experience : Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre / Post Cardiac Cath, TR Band. Required Endocrine / Metabolic Case Skills / Experience : IV insulin protocols. Required IV therapy / Phlebotomy Skills / Experience : Blood Product Administration, Central line care / management, Peripheral Line Care / Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Skills / Experience : Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips. Required

Respiratory Case Skills / Experience : Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac, External CPAP / BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management. Required Professional Topics and Skills : Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac

Preferred Skills / Experience : Teaching Hospital Experience, Previous Charge Experience

Cardiac :

Chest pain, Unstable Angina / Angina, STEMI / NSTEMI / Acute MI, Atherosclerosis, CAD, New Afib / Aflutter / SVT, Acute Heart Failure, Hyper / Hypotension.

Pulmonary :

COPD exacerbation, Asthma, Acute PE, Pneumothorax

Other :

Acute DVT, Migraine, Nausea / Vomiting, Syncope and ED medical overflow if needed for throughput.

Types of Patients on Unit : Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Unit / Facility Details : Average Daily Census : 25, Number of Beds 25

Shift & Scheduling : 4x12 or 3x12 , every other weekend (Fri / Sat for night shift, Sat / Sun for day shift), No On Call

Floating Requirements : To (MS / Cardiac). Not IMC / ICU.
