American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to cover both vascular and neuro IR procedures in an acute care setting, requiring ARRT and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an acute care hospital working in the Interventional Radiology departmentCovers both vascular and neuro interventional radiology cases including cerebral, coiling, kyphoplasty, spine interventions, stroke therapy, and carotid stentingWork schedule is Monday through Friday with 10 hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PMOn-call required for 1-2 shifts per week plus every 3rd or 4th weekend and possible holiday call, with a 30 minute call-back timeUses Epic charting systemScrubs are provided by the facilityDuties include monitoring hemodynamics, observing sterile technique, preparing entry sites, and assisting with complex IR and neuro proceduresResponsibility for patient monitoring, documentation, and code response under physician supervisionInvolvement in inventory management and performance improvement activitiesMay instruct radiography students in clinical skills and support educational activitiesNo local travelers permitted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facilityReturning staff must have a 2 year break from prior employment at any facility within the systemTravelers cannot work in the system for more than 1 cumulative year without a 2 year breakMay be required to participate in manager interviews and clinical skill verification tests\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years experience as an Interventional Radiology TechnologistCurrent ARRT(R) and BLS certifications required; ACLS is preferredLicense required if applicableAbove average experience strongly preferred in neuro IR procedures such as cerebral and spine interventionsAbility to monitor and interpret hemodynamic monitoring and continuous ECG and blood pressure during proceduresRad techs must use proper sterile technique and assist with lab procedures under physician supervisionTraveler must provide their own radiation badge\n Benefits\n
