Summary :

In partnership with the department's pediatric neuropsychologist, this position will provide educational liaison guidance and support for pediatric patients with cancer and blood disorders. Provide advocacy on behalf of the patient to ensure that neuropsychological evaluation results are understood by school systems and that educational support and resources are secured. Build collaborative relationships between families, schools and the medical team.

This is a full-time hybrid / remote position during the school year; hours will be reduced during the summer months.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent educational background as specified by the State of Maine. Master's degree in Education preferred
• License / Certifications : Maine teacher certification for Grades K-12 preferred. Special training or certification in special education preferred
• Experience : Experience with classroom teaching preferred. Experience working with children / adolescents who have special educational and healthcare needs preferred
