Overview

Position : Loss Control Consultant – Independent Contractor (Home / office-based) in Providence, RI. Travel to local commercial business operations will be required. You will assess risk for various commercial insurance lines of business and prepare risk evaluation reports with recommendations to control or correct potential loss-producing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Schedule on-site surveys and provide risk evaluation and risk improvement reports to insurance industry clients.
• Manage assignments you accept and secure customer appointments within a local territory.
• Complete work assignments on time and communicate findings clearly to clients.
• Produce reports used to underwrite commercial insurance policies, including recommendations for risk control.
• Potentially work on special projects or more challenging risk evaluation surveys leveraging your education, professional certifications and risk control skills.
• Work with insured businesses ranging from Middle Market to Large Multi-location operations across various industries.
