The Transfer Admissions Counselor represents the University and its image with integrity and accountability. Assists in the implementation of the University's enrollment management plan by fostering relationships and building partnerships with internal and external constituents.
Manages the transfer prospect and applicant pool of students. Develops and implements strategies to support the enrollment of transfer students, aligning their academic needs with the University program offerings.
Acts as the primary in-house counselor providing information sessions to prospective students and families. Primarily involves recruitment of transfer students; traditional student recruitment may be required.
Reports directly to the Assistant Director of Admissions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus one to three years of experience in admissions, recruitment, public relations, marketing, sales, counseling, or related field.
Marketing experience and ability to implement social media campaigns desired.
Excellent interpersonal skills (written, verbal, phone) and strong work ethic.
Knowledgeable about recruitment of student populations and related processes.
Travel required; must have a valid driver's license. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
