The Howard Hughes Medical Institute's Janelia Research Campus is a pioneering research center in Ashburn, Virginia, where scientists pursue fundamental questions in the life sciences. About the Role

In this role, you will serve as an operational liaison by fostering collaborative partnerships between operational and scientific staff. You will need to consistently provide timely, professional, customer-focused service with responsibilities to include various aspects of procurement, budget management, travel, seminar / meeting organization, asset management, and policy communication. You will seamlessly handle and take ownership of a wide variety of situations and tasks, communicate in an easily understood manner, and ensure the efficient management of labs to maximize their time spent conducting research. This position supports science but is similar in nature to a position such as an Office Manager (heavy administrative duties).

About the Lab Administration Team

Lab Administrators, commonly referred to as Lab Coordinators or LCs, aim to bridge the gap between science and operations, allowing Janelia's scientists to focus on their projects and helping to ensure efficient campus operations. Compensation Range : $26.42 (minimum) - $33.03 (midpoint) - $42.94 (maximum)

Pay Type : Hourly

HHMI's salary structure is developed based on relevant job market data. HHMI considers a candidate's education, previous experiences, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal consistency when making job offers. Typically, a new hire for this position in this location is compensated between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range.
