The Position
The AVP, Corporate Controller, will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial oversight across the OU Health enterprise.
Departmental oversight includes General Ledger, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll functions.
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance & Treasury, this leader will manage a team of approximately 20 FTEs.
This leader will be responsible for evaluating the team structure and optimizing department resources to ensure the right people are in the right roles. They will assess the Capital Asset Team's processes and provide recommendations for improvement. Additionally, they will review financial reporting for the organization's joint venture business and identify opportunities to strengthen accuracy and efficiency. Other key responsibilities include supporting the Workday system update and enhancing balance sheet reporting.
Ideal candidates will be experienced Controllers with a strong background in healthcare finance. They should be detail-oriented, self-driven professionals with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree highly preferred.
CPA certification required; CMA certification preferred.
A minimum of seven to ten years of experience in a senior financial management role, preferably within a large and complex academic healthcare organization, is required.
