Overview

Title : Copy Editor

Location : Remote - WFH

Duration : 6 Months Contract with possible extension

Payrate : $37.00 per hr on W2

Responsibilities

  • Edit copy for grammar and style, and fact-check in a timely manner and under pressure
  • Edit a range of articles, including real estate news, economic news, advice to homebuyers and sellers, unique homes, and celebrity real estate news
  • Ensure that the Realtor.com News & Insights house style is maintained
  • Collaborate with editors and reporters

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience working in a digital-first news environment and familiarity with digital-first best practices
  • Solid news judgment
  • Familiarity with real estate news
  • Meticulous copyediting skills, a flair for writing headlines, an understanding of SEO
  • Familiarity with the Associated Press Stylebook
  • Experience working with WordPress
