The Test Engineer will support the JETS II contract in Houston, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead development and perform testing of new and existing dust mitigation test campaigns within EX2 in support of multiple Artemis programs.
• Train supporting group members on handling the hardware and instrumentation for the test campaign while maintaining a safety-oriented mindset.
• Lead procurement efforts of testing hardware and materials to conduct the test campaign.
• Coordinate with testing facilities and equipment owners to schedule testing needs and develop test procedures.
• Develop essential documentation for the test campaigns, including : test plans, hazard analyses, test procedures, Test Readiness Review documentation, and any additional operations-related products.
• Collaborate needs from PIs (Principal Investigators) to ensure stakeholder expectations are met and test plans / procedures are up to date.
• Coordinate updates to NASA-STD-1008, the NASA Dust Testing Standard, and lead discussions to incorporate state-of-the-art input from Agency dust subject matter experts and stakeholders.
• Perform analysis on test campaign results and collaborate with EX2 Dust subject matter experts for stakeholder input.
• Present findings of test campaigns in various forums (Dust Mitigation Stakeholders WG, Program Meetings, etc.) to inform community members.
• Publish findings in a relevant aerospace journal or NASA-TM.
• Train supporting group members and interns on test planning and execution best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
