The Stress Engineer supports the design and development of systems and products to meet customer specifications, and assists in the resolution of difficult technical problems, either with new products or legacy products.

EXPERIENCE 1.

7+ years of hands-on product development experience with a focus in mechanical design and analysis.

2.

Experience with the stress analysis of mechanism designs is desired.

3.

A proven track record in an engineering new product development team environment.

4.

Demonstrated experience of classical stress analysis of metallic components / assemblies using hand calculations.

5.

Experience with stress analysis related aerospace and industry specifications / standards, such as Metallic Materials Properties Development and Standardization (MMPDS) and MIL-HDBK-5, is required.

6.

Experience with industry-standard stress analysis references, such as Bruhn's Analysis and Design of Flight Vehicle Structures and Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain, is required.

7.

Experience with FEA-based analysis is required.

EDUCATION Must have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

Alternate degrees will be considered.

An advanced engineering degree is highly desirable.
