Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Electrical Installations : Installing wiring systems, electrical panels, lighting, and specialized equipment.
  • Maintenance and Repair : Diagnosing and fixing electrical failures, replacing components, maintaining backup systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Compliance and Safety : Ensuring installations meet codes and regulations, performing safety inspections, and adhering to guidelines like OSHA.
  • System Upgrades and Energy Efficiency : Upgrading systems for efficiency, installing energy-efficient solutions, and conducting energy audits.
  • Collaboration and Project Management : Interpreting blueprints, collaborating with other contractors, planning layouts, and training apprentices.
  • Preforms other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license required.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes

    • Education and Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license required.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in constricted areas.
