Objective : Establish a dedicated team of two Senior Performance Engineers to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of our software systems across all environments. This team will proactively identify bottlenecks, define performance baselines, and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to drive improvements.

Job Description
The Senior Performance Engineers will be responsible for designing and executing performance testing strategies, analyzing system behavior under load, and recommending optimizations. They will work closely with software development, DevOps, and architecture teams to ensure that performance is considered throughout the software lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement performance testing frameworks and strategies.
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, k6, or LoadRunner.
- Conduct load, stress, soak, and scalability testing across services and platforms.
- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics (CPU, memory, I / O, latency, throughput).
- Identify performance bottlenecks and work with engineering teams to resolve them.
- Establish performance baselines and SLAs for critical applications and services.
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate performance testing into CI / CD pipelines.
- Provide detailed performance reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging performance engineering practices.
Day-to-Day Activities
Participate in sprint planning and architecture reviews to identify performance risks early.Write and maintain performance test plans and scripts.Execute performance tests and analyze results.Monitor production systems for performance anomalies.Collaborate with developers to optimize code and database queries.Tune JVMs, containers, and infrastructure configurations for performance.Document findings and present actionable insights to leadership.Required Skills & Qualifications
7+ years of experience in performance engineering or related roles.5+ years of hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, k6, or LoadRunner.5+ years of experience analyzing and optimizing system architecture, distributed systems, and microservices.3+ years of experience with APM tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, or Datadog.5+ years of experience in scripting (Python, Bash) and programming languages (Java, Go, etc.).3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.3+ years of experience integrating performance testing into CI / CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.Seniority level
