Shop Mechanic

As a Shop Mechanic you must have excellent communication, organization and multitasking skills to maintain good morale and to engage mechanics

You will have an integral role in the training, hiring and ongoing development of maintenance technicians, ensuring our highly skilled workforce is able to meet driver and customer expectations. You will also be in control of maintaining price negotiation with our vendors to keep the cost of maintenance repairs in budget.

• Job Responsibilities :
• Audit vehicle maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical and electrical repair to tractors and trailers
• Prioritize and assign work to meet the needs of the units to be repaired
• Control repair, inventory and labor cost
• Monitor associate work levels, coaching and mentor where / when needed
• Manage facilities, assuring a safe and clean working environment
• Job Skills & Qualifications :
• Preferred
• 3-5 years of fleet maintenance management preferred or 3 years of maintenance experience with strong operational skills
• Trucking Industry Experience Preferred
• Prefer CDL with Hazmat & Tanker or wiling to get it
• Required
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Strong organizational skills required
• Valid drivers license
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, Excel and web-based applications
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $22.00 - $24.00 per year
