Description :

Unit capacity is 36 beds.

The population served includes adult and geriatric medical / surgical patients.

Ages of patients served range from young adult through late adult (18 - 60+).

The nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 6.

The core staffing plan includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, and nurse interns.

An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.

Successful completion of a rhythm test is mandatory.

NIH Certification is required.
