Service Technician
Reports To : Service Manager
Job Purpose : Provide general structural pest control service in various locations to the satisfaction of the customer and in accordance with industry, company, and governmental rules, regulations, and policies.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Be able to inspect, diagnose a pest problem and render appropriate service using approved materials and methods
- Be courteous and customer service-minded at all times. Be able to communicate and relate to the public
- Exhibit productive use of service and travel time
- Apply pesticides safely and effectively in accordance with the label, state and federal regulations and in accordance with established company policies and procedures
- Respond to unscheduled requests for service. Make phone calls to communicate with customers and office staff as needed to assure smooth flow of service and communication
- Maintain care, custody, and upkeep of company vehicle, equipment, materials, and records. Maintain accurate and legible and complete reports and service records
- Submit records and reports to office in timely manner as required
- Obtain appropriate license and certification within one year of employment and maintain such through attending required recertification training
- Recognize and participate in sales opportunities
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience / Knowledge / Qualifications :
A high school diploma is preferredCommercial Ohio Pesticide (would be a bonus)Good verbal and written skills are necessaryExperience working alone without direct supervision is preferredMust be able to take and carry out instructionsMust be able to drive standard shift vehiclesMust have a valid driver's license and produce a motor vehicle record showing three (3) or less chargeable violations over the past three (3) yearsMust be willing to work overtime (early mornings, evenings, and / or weekends) when required or requestedSpecial Requirements :
Must be capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and walking including but not limited to the following :Climbing : To ascend or descend ladders, stairs and inclined surfaces to gain entrance to or availability to areas to be treated or inspected. Such areas may include : attics, crawl spaces, or above suspended ceilingsBending, kneeling and crawling : to bend and walk through low areas bend down to service Sentricon stations. Bending the legs at the knees to come to rest on the knee or knees. Crawling on the knees in low areas.Walking : must be able to walk for extended periods on level and inclined surfaces while carrying necessary application equipmentLifting : must be able to lift and carry weights up to fifty (50) poundsBenefits :
