Job Description :

• The In Plant Material Flow & Scheduling Team PDO Team is responsible for development, deployment & support of applications globally that are used in plant production operations.
• We have a mix of critical and non-critical plant floor applications that are responsible for producing company vehicles.
• This also includes powertrains and stamped components to meet global production needs.
• The technology is located physically in 30+ plants throughout the world.
• Our systems schedule, build, manage inventory, notify, and monitor plant floor information and operations.
• This global product suite has employees in Asia-Pacific, Europe, North and South America that interface and interact with global users daily.
• The product team is disrupting ourselves by modernizing everywhere & simplifying everything through a re-engineering and new development effort to use the latest technologies, methods and tools to bring innovation at market speed to the manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities for Internal Candidates Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Understanding / documenting the deployment process

Working with PDO and Plant IT teams to continually improve deployment and test plans globally

Working with global teams to document issues / concerns related to development and deployment activities

Developing or configuration of in house tools and applications

Establishing process for gathering, assessing and improving portfolio health related to number of software versions, database versions, number of changes etc.

Outlining improvement opportunities and working with cross-functional teams to deliver them.

Working outside of normal days shift hours and some travel may be required.

Qualifications for Internal Candidates

Required Skills :

Motivated and self-starter

Software Development, entry level or academic experience of 1yr

Works well in a diverse global team environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with Common Tools, MS Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook...)

Desired Skills :

General understanding of MS Windows Server 2012-2016 OS and 2012-2016 MS SQL Databases

Ability to multitask by working with multiple, initiatives

Capable of managing work with limited supervision.

Programming with tools such as Java, Java Script, SQL and, Power Shell experience is nice to have

Monitoring Tools such as Dynatrace, What's UP Gold and Splunk

Skills Required :

Skills Preferred :

Linux

Windows Servers

Experience Required :

Engineer 2 Exp. : Practitioner : 1 coding language or framework.

4+ years in IT;

3+ years in support / incident management

Experience Preferred :

1+ yr RedHat OpenShift

3+ MS SQL / Oracle DB

2+ yr RedHat Linux OS

Education Required :

Bachelor's Degree
