Principal Duties / Responsibilities :
- Evaluates non-emergency work requests, develops scope of work, and inspects job locations to determine requirements.
- Estimates labor hours, skillsets, parts, materials, equipment, and special tools needed for proactive jobs, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Gathers technical documentation such as drawings, schematics, specifications, and OEM manuals; verifies part availability and arranges for special tools when necessary.
- Maintains organized work order backlog, prioritizing jobs to keep the Ready Backlog at or above 80%.
- Uses continuous improvement to update Job Plans for accuracy.
- Conducts weekly planning meetings with Production to set work priorities and adjust schedules as needed.
- Creates weekly technician schedules covering priority jobs and preventive maintenance, utilizing 100% of available labor hours.
- Enhances planning and scheduling effectiveness through reviews and maintenance metrics.
- Maintains records for analysis and reporting of maintenance activities.
- Trains employees on CMMS, ensuring proper use and integrity of the system.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies :
Essential KSAs :
Associate Degree in a technical field or 1-3 years of maintenance scheduling / planning experience; or 5-10 years as a machine repair technician, or equivalent.Experience in industrial manufacturing environments.Electrical and mechanical aptitude.Proficiency with computers, maintenance systems, and Microsoft Office.Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.Desirable KSAs :
Interest in developing leadership skills.Experience in job planning, scheduling, and execution.Project management experience; capital projects preferred.Certifications such as CMRP, Green Belt, and STS.Competencies :

Work involves standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and talking. Occasionally, sitting and lifting over 50 pounds are required. Visual acuity and color vision are necessary. Exposure to weather, electrical hazards, loud factory environments, and potentially hazardous materials is possible.
