Role Overview
As a Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of your projects, from pre-construction planning through final walkthrough. You'll coordinate carpenters, trade partners, and designers, managing budgets, schedules, and communication through CoConstruct. You'll serve as the client's primary contact and ensure the project stays aligned with both vision and cost expectations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, supervise, and motivate field crews, carpenters, and trade partners, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Oversee project budgets and schedules in CoConstruct , ensuring timely and accurate updates.
- Communicate proactively with clients, designers, and trade partners, providing regular progress updates.
- Ensure all work meets Hawker's craftsmanship and safety standards; identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings, inspections, and warranty management.
- Manage tools, materials, and job site organization to maintain efficiency and accountability.
- Support hiring, training, and mentorship of field staff and carpenters.
- Review drawings, plans, and specifications, flagging discrepancies or opportunities for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and trade partners.
- Drive operational excellence through disciplined documentation and clear communication.
What We're Looking For
Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience - extensive knowledge of both rough and finish carpentry required.At least 3 years of residential project management experience, preferably in custom home or remodel work.Strong supervisory, coordination, and communication skills.Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, building codes, and related trades.Skilled in reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and budgets.Proficient with CoConstruct or similar construction management software.Reliable work vehicle and valid California driver's license with a clean record.Physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds and performing jobsite work as needed.Coachable, proactive, and committed to continuous learning.Available for extended or flexible work hours when required.Compensation and Benefits
