Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position

Location : Fort Defiance, AZ

Job Type : Travel Contract

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 3x12s Days, Nights

Pay : $3205 / week

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods.

Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including vital signs, fetal heart tones, and labor progression.

Administer medications and assist with pain management and anesthesia care.

Support physicians and midwives during deliveries, including vaginal births and surgical procedures (e.g., C-sections).

Educate and support patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.

Manage emergency situations such as postpartum hemorrhage or fetal distress promptly and effectively.

Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in accordance with facility policies.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications :

Active and unrestricted RN license in AZ

Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, NIHSS
