Overview :

Responsible for assisting physicians and nurses in providing patient care to clinic patients under the supervision of physicians / nurse practitioner and the leader. Room patients, vital signs Assists with procedures, EKG Instrument maintenance and prep Stock exam rooms Documentation, scanning Point of care testing Basic in basket and refills Communicate with physician or APP Follow protected information policy, follow OSHA standards Adopt PPE and Quality / Safety Policies Medication reconciliation, injection administration Schedule appointments, medical record releases Diagnostic and ancillary order entry

Qualifications : Medical Assistant :

Education : High School Diploma or GED.

Certification : Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Experience : 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.

Or Certified Medical Assistant :

Education : High School Diploma or GED.

Certification : Must have active Medical Assistant certification / registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire
