Internships in Product / Test Engineering - Summer 2026

Product Test Engineers join almost all of NXP's Business Lines, including : MCU / MPU, Automotive Processors, Advanced Analog, Connectivity & Security, Edge Processing, and Operations.

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations

• Responsible for all aspects of characterizing, qualifying and releasing products in high volume manufacturing.
• Participate in new product / technology core team to define : validation and characterization, cost structure and test / manufacturing strategy for the product / technology.
• Work entails coordination and interfacing with diverse areas and functions internal and external to NXP to launch new products into production.
• Ensure products released to manufacturing meet schedule, test time, cost and yield requirements.
• Detailed understanding of production test, reliability and qualification methodologies.
• Own and drive product characterization - create characterization plans, define matrix lots, perform statistical data analysis and deliver reports on performance to specification.
• Drive cost reduction and yield enhancement projects interfacing with internal and external factories.
• Assist with customer issues and quality incidents.
• Help drive product / test standardization, solutions and methodologies to improve product cycle time and cost.
