Purchasing Agent - Buyer

To assist with procuring assigned goods and services, along with maintaining adequate inventory levels to support demand. Maintains manual or computerized procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality, warranty / return goods, and inventories. Contacts vendors to obtain return authorization for defective or unacceptable goods. Under minimal supervision, participates in the selection of, and is responsible for the management of reliable sources of supply to ensure a steady flow of quality products at the lowest possible cost. Position reports directly to Purchasing Manager.
