BLE System Engineer

Position Overview :
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Radio Frequency (RF) technologies, and the development of medical devices. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to lead the design, development, and integration of sophisticated wireless communication systems tailored for medical applications. The successful candidate will ensure these systems meet high standards of performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Primary Responsibilities :
- System Architecture and Development :
- Drive the architecture and creation of BLE and RF systems used in medical devices. This includes both hardware and software elements, with a strong emphasis on adhering to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Subsystem Integration and Validation :
- Manage the integration of BLE and RF components into complete medical systems, ensuring cohesive performance through rigorous testing and validation at the system level.
- Technical Mentorship :
- Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to less experienced engineers, promoting a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Project Oversight :
- Lead project planning efforts, including scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
- System Performance Tuning :
- Evaluate system-level performance and troubleshoot issues such as RF interference, signal degradation, and power inefficiencies to enhance overall functionality.
- Design Documentation :
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, process flows, and interface definitions to support development and regulatory needs.
- Regulatory Compliance :
- Ensure that system designs adhere to applicable medical and wireless communication standards, including those set by the FDA and ISO. Contribute to the preparation of required documentation for regulatory submissions related to wireless system components.
Required Qualifications :
Education :Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a similar discipline.Professional Experience :At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with a minimum of 3 years specifically focused on BLE and RF systems.Technical Expertise :Solid background in RF system design, BLE communication protocols, signal processing, and development of medical-grade devices.Tools Proficiency :Hands-on experience with RF simulation software, embedded systems programming, and tools used in medical device engineering.Interpersonal Skills :Excellent problem-solving capabilities, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proven ability to work well in collaborative team environments.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working with IoT devices and platforms.Familiarity with other wireless technologies such as Zigbee or Wi-Fi.Understanding of regulatory frameworks and standards for wireless medical devices (e.g., IEEE 11073, ISO 13485, FDA guidelines).Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled
