Producing, filing and processing all necessary documents and conducting research required for delinquent tax litigation through judgment
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lawsuit production
- Create, file and notice of pre-trial legal motions
- Issue, deliver and monitor citations to ensure proper service is obtained
- Preparation of trial docket sheets for all dockets
- Work closely with the District Clerks, Constables and Courts staffs to ensure efficient processing of suits
- Accurately code and notate DTAX and ACT systems as necessary
- Review District Clerk records for filings / answers in pending suits
- Assist ad items with cases and ensure delivery of all required documents
- Prepare and send prejudgment payoffs
- Attend dockets and assist attorney with docket and related judgements
- Perform address, heirship & probate research for potential citations by posting in accordance with local court requirements
- Respond to calls and contacts from taxpayers in litigation

Answer overflow phone calls from taxpayersCreate and monitor payment agreements in ACT systemCreate, process and witness e-payments in DTAX systemDeliver payments and documents to Tax Office / CourthouseAbility to communicate effectively with management, clients and taxpayersAbility to work with others and be a team playerBasic computer skills Microsoft Office, Word., ExcelCapable and effective researcherAble to use standard office equipmentAble to meet deadlines -good time management skillsHighly organized and attention to detailSelf-motivated able to work independently with minimal supervisionFamiliarity with Texas Property Tax systemFamiliarity with and adherence to all firm\office policies and proceduresPunctual and reliableMaintain a positive attitude in stressful situationsEducation & Experience
Valid Texas Driver License, insurance, and reliable transportationHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredBilingual in Spanish and English preferred
