POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The Senior Manager of Energy Storage Solutions Sales will drive customer acquisition and revenue growth for  behind-the-meter (BTM) and community-scale energy storage solutions in California. This role is focused on leveraging Qcells’ integrated hardware and Geli software platform to help customers optimize bill savings and participate in key California demand response and grid support programs. This position will be based out of San Francisco.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales of Qcells Energy Storage hardware and Software in the Community Scale, Commercial and Industrial segment.
  • Identify and close opportunities with C&I customers, CCAs, developers, EPCs, and aggregators.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with California’s rate structures and program opportunities. Execution of the business plan and target as set by the company.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships at the executive and decision-maker level and with key customers' leadership teams (C-suite, SVP, EVP levels)
  • Provide guidance to customers on how to optimize project economics through RA, PDR, DRAM, SGIP, DSGS, and bill savings via Energy Storage Solutions.
  • Maintain deep market intelligence on tariff structures, incentive programs, and regulatory developments relevant to BTM storage.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, product, and commercial teams to structure competitive solutions.
  • Conduct proactive outreach through outbound prospecting, participation in industry events, networking with key stakeholders, and nurturing channel partnerships to expand the sales pipeline.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and support proposal development through contract execution.
  • Represent Qcells in California’s energy storage market through forums, events, and strategic partnerships.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred); Master’s degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in energy storage.
  • Proven track record of BTM or community-scale storage sales in California.
  • Strong knowledge of rate structures, RA, PDR, DRAM, SGIP, DSGS, and TOU management strategies.
  • Established network of developers, CCAs, EPCs, or large C&I customers in California.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with C-suite and senior decision-makers.
  • Travel may be required up to 50%, depending on business needs

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
