Salary : $18 Hourly

Job Summary :

All Modal Transportation is seeking a Forklift Operator / General Laborer / Assistant Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for operating forklifts, assisting with yard and facility upkeep, supporting mechanics, and handling container loading / unloading and palletizing tasks. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, safety-focused, and flexible in assisting with a variety of daily operational needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Load and unload containers and trailers using a forklift.
  • Palletize and shrink-wrap commodities; secure loads with straps, load bars, etc.
  • Organize and maintain yard and warehouse grounds (e.g., blowing debris, degreasing oil / fuel spots, power washing, collecting trash).
  • Perform light building maintenance (e.g., painting, replacing lights).
  • Assist mechanics with tasks such as retrieving parts, organizing scrap, mounting and dismounting tires from rims and other
  • Operate tools and equipment including hand tools, power tools, compressors, and pressure washers.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Proven forklift operating experience.
  • Good verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, compressors, and yard maintenance equipment.
  • Reliable attendance with flexibility for occasional overtime or weekend work.

    • Additional Job Information :

  • Safety-Sensitive Position : Strict adherence to safety policies is required.
  • Physical Requirements :

    • Must be physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs independently and up to 150 lbs with exertion.

  • Ability to carry up to 60 lbs for up to 20 feet.
  • Must stand for extended periods, with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Work environment may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, or contain fumes / odors.
  • Other Requirements :

    • Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.

  • Use of safety equipment (e.g., face shield / goggles, gloves, knee pads, ear protection, safety vest, and other PPE provided by All Modal Transportation) is mandatory.
