Compensation : Starting pay $65 per session with potential to increase; Full-Time

Overview

Well Grounded Therapy is seeking a dedicated and no-nonsense therapist to join our team as an independent contractor. If you are passionate about providing straightforward, results-driven therapy and are not afraid to challenge your clients to achieve their best, we want to hear from you.

Who We Envision

  • Ability to work independently as an independent contractor
  • Master's Degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy
  • Licensed Therapist (LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in IL
  • Committed to anti-racist work, anti oppression work and are social justice-oriented
  • Understanding of basic therapeutic framework and foundation for treating mental health disorders
  • Specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skill in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders
  • Ability to interact effectively, sensitively, and professionally with clients in a timely manner
  • Self-reflective and highly motivated to learn and to take initiative in investing in their own growth
  • Professional written and verbal skills. Must complete and manage electronic notes and scheduling in a timely manner
  • Strong commitment to a no-nonsense, results-oriented approach to therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have professional liability insurance

    • Essential Functions

  • Provide individual, couples, and / or family therapy sessions
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver effective mental health treatment
  • Maintain clear, concise, and accurate client records
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their issues
  • Provide crisis intervention services
  • Conduct necessary psychosocial and / or trauma-specific assessments
  • Assess client functioning and develop individualized treatment plan within 30 days that is periodically re-assessed
  • Maintain case files including session case notes, treatment plans, monthly progress reports, telephone consultations, and termination summaries
  • Maintain good standing with the appropriate State licensing board and group membership affiliations
  • Participate in applicable, appropriate, related professional development opportunities
  • Adhere to confidentiality policy
  • Maintain cross-cultural awareness in the performance of all responsibilities
