Pay : Level 1 : $20 / hr | Level 2 : $22 - $26 / hr
The Deburr Technician is a critical part of our machining team. The technician in this role will be responsible for the final finishing of all parts, pieces and components coming out of our CNC machining areas. Strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate for long periods of time are required for this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Grind, file, or sand surfaces of metal items, utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machines
- Examine surfaces in order to find defects
- Remove defects and smooth uneven surfaces
- Handle finished items in a careful manner to prevent damage
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Function in a safe and reliable manner to prevent personal injury and / or property damage
- Wear the proper PPE for the job function being performed
- Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to learn to read blueprintsAbility to learn how to use shop toolsAble to utilize various grinding equipment - angle head grinders, pencil grinders, straight grinders, and palm sandersBEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

High school diploma or GED requiredExperience in manufacturing or prototyping is a plus1+ years of professional work experience deburring, grinding, or machining metal items or completion of a technical trade program in manufacturing, machining, electronics, automotive or assemblyPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to use hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, hand / power tools, etc. and handle and feel parts of various sizeAbility to bend, kneel, and crouch occasionally throughout the shiftAbility to push, pull, or lift 30 lbs moderately throughout the workdayAbility to focus vision for : close vision, color vision, depth perception, and adjusting to sharp focusNoise conditions can be moderate to extreme. Hearing protection will be provided if needed and / or by requestExposure to fumes and / or airborne particlesMoving mechanical parts and vibrationManufacturing environment where temperatures drastically change from season to seasonFast-paced environmentWORK HOURS / TRAVEL
