job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPosition is in the Pediatrics unit of a children's hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center Works with a pediatric patient population; may include patients of any age Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4 Rotating day (7 : 00-19 : 00) and night (19 : 00-7 : 00) 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week Every other weekend and holiday coverage required Use of Cerner EMR system Float assignments may occur between critical care pediatric units (NICU / PICU / CICU) as needed First-time travelers are accepted Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers with no mile restriction Scrub uniforms may be any color but must be logo-free and child friendly Orientation and pre-start modules required, with at least 20 hours of self-reported pre-start modules Non-smoking facility with zero tolerance for tobacco use A minimum of one holiday off is guaranteed; additional holidays may be granted based on facility needs Missed shifts must be made up within the same week No more than 7 days of time off is permitted; full week off requires contract extension to make up days Former staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible Active DC RN license required at the time of assignment; pending licensure not accepted for start Minimum 2 years of pediatric RN experience required Current BLS certification required Must not have any license or background check discrepancies Must provide a recent professional photo upon contract signature References preferred and must be available upon request High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
