SUMMARY :
The Audiologist Assistant supports the Educational Audiologist in delivering hearing services to students across educational settings. This role focuses on assisting with hearing technology, managing assistive equipment, and collaborating closely with school teams to support students' access to instruction.
CURRENT NEED :
- We are seeking an Audiologist Assistant to work per diem or up to a full-time schedule across Chester County, PA
- The rate for an Audiologist Assistant is $25 - $35 per hour (based on experience, certification status, and travel requirements)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Technical Support for Hearing EquipmentAssist with setup, management, and troubleshooting of hearing technology (e.g., FM / DM systems, soundfield systems, personal amplification devices)Track and maintain hearing device inventory, including accessories and replacement partsSupport daily and weekly hearing access needs across multiple school sitesCoordinate hearing equipment logistics (distribution, repair, returns) under the direction of the supervising audiologistAdministrative and Training SupportMaintain accurate documentation of hearing devices, repairs, and student assignmentsSupport development of resources and training materials for students, families, and staffPrepare reports or summaries related to equipment use, repairs, and technical supportSupport in-service trainings on hearing technology, use, and care for school staffCollaborationWork closely with teachers, special education case managers, school nurses, students, families, and other school staff to ensure appropriate auditory accessCommunicate clearly with school teams about equipment use and needsParticipate in team meetings as requested by the Educational AudiologistSupport students and staff in effective use of hearing devices in the classroomRequirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences, Audiology, Special Education, or a related fieldExperience supporting hearing technology or assistive devicesTechnically proficient and comfortable working with electronic equipmentStrong communication, organization, and collaboration skillsAbility to travel between multiple school locationsPREFERRED :
Certification as a Certified Audiology Assistant (C-AA) through ASHA, or current interest in working toward certificationFamiliarity with school-based audiology services and IEP / 504 processesPrior experience working with students who are Deaf or hard of hearingAbility to support school-wide equipment use and trainingCREDENTIALS :

The Audiologist Assistant position is an independent contract (1099) position. No benefits are associated with this role.
