Electrical Project Engineer - Substation Design and Power Electronics (STATCOM / FACTS / HVDC)

The Electrical Project Engineer will lead substation design for FACTS, STATCOM, HVDC and related power electronics projects, with a focus on high voltage transmission and distribution engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for FACTS projects across distribution, sub-transmission and transmission voltage layers.
• Apply safety and regulatory standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, NESC, NERC, ISO / RTO) to define project requirements, review deliverables and collaborate with owner and OEM resources.
• Research and apply non-standard design solutions; conduct research to locate standards, white papers and brochures.
• Communicate technical information to project team members with varying technical expertise.
• Lead internal discussions with owner engineering team to close technical or project management topics.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge management to project teams and lower-level staff.
