Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

ARRT

State Radiology License

Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA

Skills & Responsibilities

Perform PET / CT, SPECT / CT, and nuclear medicine exams with precision, following established protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.

Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including the GE Omni Legend PET / CT scanner, always ensuring functionality and safety.

Administer radio pharmaceuticals and contrast agents safely, adhering to NYS DOH and institutional guidelines.

Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to accurately position patients and interpret imaging requirements.

Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, using effective communication and compassionate care.

Follow radiation safety protocols and best practices to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.

Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other technologists to deliver timely and accurate diagnostic imaging.

Maintain accurate documentation and records, including patient information, procedure logs, and imaging reports.

Troubleshoot technical issues with imaging equipment and coordinate service or repairs as needed.

Adapt to a fast-paced imaging environment, maintaining professionalism, flexibility, and a strong attention to detail.
