Senior Accountant

Location : Buckeye, Louisiana 71328 Schedule : In-Person or Hybrid Compensation : $23 - $35 hourly (pay is based on experience) | Paid Weekly Benefits : Flexible schedules | Set your own hours | Opportunity to work Hybrid after you’re established About the Role We are seeking a Senior Accountant in Buckeye, LA. This role is ideal for a skilled accounting professional with a strong background in financial reporting, tax preparation, public accounting, and healthcare / medical accounting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and balance sheets Oversee month-end and year-end close processes Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP Manage internal controls, audits, and risk assessments Handle tax preparation and filing for individuals and businesses Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local accounting regulations Required Qualifications 1+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required Experience in medical / healthcare accounting is a plus Proficiency with QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Microsoft Excel, and CRM platforms Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and general ledger management Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Why Join Us?
