Position summary : The Production Team Member is an integral part production department. Production Team Members operate manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment. The various types of manufacturing equipment operated can include : hand held equipment and tools, specialized manufacturing machines and equipment, powered industrial equipment including forklifts, and hand held measuring devices and equipment. Production Team Members are responsible for working in a team oriented work environment following company policies and procedures as well as supporting and upholding company safety and quality goals.
General purpose : Production Team Members, following company goals, policies and procedures participate in the movement of goods and services to meet internal and external customer needs
Role qualifications :
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to meet customer demand in a timely manner
- Forklift certification preferred
Position responsibilities :
Follow all Safety procedures, processes, training, and guidelines as instructedOperate various types of equipment to include but not limited to : forklifts, overhead cranes, manufacturing equipment, hand held tools and equipment, computers, control panels, and micrometersPerform machine set-ups and tool changes as necessaryAdhere to Hyundai Steel’s handbook policies and proceduresLoad and unload various types of products using provided equipmentAttach appropriate labels and tags to products and packagesTrack and keep inventoryAttend and participate in company meetingsAll Production Team Members are expected to be available for work at scheduled times and locationsAll Production Team Members are expected to be available for work in all areas of productionEnsure that quality is a priority and the quality processes and procedures in place are followedFollow and uphold all processing procedures and the safety guidelines associatedPerform preventative maintenance and routine machine checksCommunicate properly and effectively with Supervisors and other Team MembersParticipate in training and also train new Team MembersNotify Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues, including substandard products or equipmentMust be able to perform at required production standardsMaintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with Hyundai Steel policy and proceduresReport all incidents (spills, accidents, incidents, injuries, property damage, close calls, poor performance)Prepare necessary SAP transactions accurately, and paperwork as neededReport issues to the Supervisors that cannot be fixed or resolved and also bring insight on possible solutionsParticipate and follow all ISO standards as requiredAbility and willingness to rotate to other assigned responsibilities and shiftsMust be able to successfully function within a team environment and be able to adapt to changePerform other duties and to work overtime as requiredNonessential skills and experience :
Ability to work well with all levels of team membersAbility to work independently with limited supervisionAbility to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplacePay : $ 21.33 / Hour

Physical demands : Must be able to climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), and safely lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. frequently. Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate a forklift safely (position dependent). Must show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment. Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment. The Team Member is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.Work environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.Monday - Friday- 7 : 00AM-3 : 30PM (Overtime + 5 : 00PM)
